The castle and grounds were beautiful, as was the surrounding area. We appreciated the headsets with English offered. We have been to castles with no guides or headsets and didn’t get nearly as much out of them.

  • The New Palace can only be visited on a guided tour. Please go to the Visitor's Center at the New Palace to get a seperate ticket with the guided tour time.
  • The New Palais in Sanssouci Park which is closed on Tuesdays
  • January 1-March 31, 2024, Tuesday-Sunday, 10:00 AM-4:30 PM
  • April 1-October 31, 2024, Tuesday-Sunday, 10:00 AM-5:30 PM
  • The last entry is 30 minutes before closing time
  • Tickets are non-refundable and can't be rebooked. Reduced tickets will only be accepted with appropriate proof at the entrance
  • Reduced tickets are available for school children, students, trainees, participants in the Federal Volunteers (BFD) or the Freiwillige Soziale Jahr (FSJ, voluntary social year) programs, severely disabled persons (with a degree of disability (GdB) of at least 50%), as well as recipients of “Arbeitslosengeld I” unemployment benefits. Proper identification must be shown for reductions to apply

Need to validate your ticket first at the Sanssouci palace before visiting other sites. We went to the gallery first and the lady was rude and yelled at us. She scanned our ticket and says we are not nice because we are running 5 minutes late. She pointed us to the direction of the palace and taunted us that we may not be even be admitted because we are 5min late. Instead of being empathetic because the entire complex is huge and hard to find the entrances, her manner was rough and condescending. So we rushed over to the palace causing us a lot of stress because the tickets are expensive. Instead we were met by a nice Asian lady who just scanned our ticket and welcomed us. The lady at the gallery absolutely did not have to treat us like that. I held my tongue and reminded myself that we need to show kindness to each other regardless of race.
