Around 1:30 p.m. we stop again near Corniglia where you can take a second swim and eat a plate of pasta always accompanied by good wine or other drinks you prefer and finally a good Limoncello liqueur. Departure at 10 a.m. from Porto Mirabello, La Spezia, near the gas station. The boat (10 metres) and the captain will be there waiting for you. You will sail along the borgate marinare, i.e. the small villages on the coast between La Spezia and Portovenere. You will see Torre Scola, an old military fortress built on a rock in the middle of the sea. We will pass through the archipelago consisting of the three islands, Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, which are still unspoilt places, until we reach the romantic Portovenere. Here you can choose whether to go ashore for a short visit to the town and the famous church of San Pietro, overlooking the sea, or stay on the boat and dive into the turquoise waters between Palmaria Island and the village of Portovenere. Continuing the tour, we will have time to approach the world-famous Grotta Byron, the red rocks and swim in beautiful hidden coves, in the crystal-clear waters of Monesteroli or under the natural waterfall of Canneto. From here we will enter the 5 terre marine protected area. We will sail past the 5 villages (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso), you will have plenty of time to take your photos, listen to interesting stories and explanations from your captain and take another dip. During this tour there is also the possibility to go ashore and visit the villages of Vernazza or Monterosso. If you are lucky, you will be able to see the dolphins that habitually swim near our shores. The tour will end at 6 p.m. at the place of departure.

We will then pass in front of the most important military base of the Italian Navy, the Arsenal of La Spezia, and the headquarters of the Italian Special Forces. Accompanied by good music, we will reach the picturesque Torre Scola and the archipelago of Palmaria Island, Tino Island and Tinetto. Here, we will admire the spectacular scenery of the area and listen to fascinating stories about it. Once we have paid our respects to the statue of Stella Maris, the patron saint of sailors, we will head to the nearby village of Portovenere where we will step ashore. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore its characteristic narrow streets, the famous Grotta Byron and the charming church of San Pietro. Once the visit is over, we will get back on the boat to swim in the crystal-clear waters of Palmaria Island. Refreshed by the swim, we will head to the opposite coast of the Gulf, where the villages of Tellaro, Fiascherino and Lerici are located. Here we will discover the legend of the octopus of Tellaro and make another stop to swim in one of the hidden coves of Fiascherino. Before ending the tour we will stop for about 45 minutes in Lerici, to stroll around the village streets and enjoy a spectacular view of the Gulf while tasting a delicious local ice cream. Finally we will return to Porto Mirabello in La Spezia lulled by the waves, the music and the memories of the unforgettable experiences.

Snorkeling is an activity suitable to everyone, ideal for those who never wore a diving mask but wonder what’s down there! It is the gateway to the world of diving and the easiest way to get closer to the local fauna and observe their behaviour; by wearing your mask, snorkel and fins, you will discover the secrets of the sea. The activity involves a snorkeling trip with a marine biologist equipped with teaching aids to identify the differents species and describe the diverse habitat. The routes are accessible to everyone and allow the exploration of the seabed and the rocky enviroments made out of caves and ravines. You will not only be learning about biology but also about the history and traditions of the area. You will meet your instructor in San Terenzo, close to Lerici, where you will be provided with the equipment and a brief introduction to this experience. Afterwards, you will be reaching Porto Venere – where the activity will be taking place – and its Marine Protected Area (MPA) on a rubber boat. At the end of the tour, you will be brought back to San Terenzo.

We will continue the journey towards the Scoglio Ferale, a pyramid-shaped rock that emerges 30 meters high, here we will take another relaxing break, but a little shorter than the previous one. We will set off again sailing slowly along the coast to reach the 3 islands: Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, where we will stop for a few dives and a bit of relaxation. We will set off again and cross the gulf towards Tellaro, a real gem by the sea! We will sail along the beautiful coast of Lerici and its magical coves, here we will make the last relaxation stop.
