What to Expect
Oporto was founded in the Middle-Ages as a religious and Episcopal walled city. Around the 12th Century, the demographic core started to manifest in the Cathedral area, moving towards the riverside waterfront. Along this walking tour, encounter beautiful and religious architecture in the Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles. Although this tour encompasses Christian monuments and churches, you will also see the ancient remains of what was the Jewish Quarter, which was considered to have great influence in this city.
