Porto: Douro Wine Tour with Lunch and River Cruise

The tour was a lot of fun! Bernardo was a wonderful tour guide who gave us a nice narrative while we were in transport about the Duoro Valley region and it's history. The tour gave the guests enough time to explore and enjoy the experience. Besides Bernardo, the two wine producers we visited were extremely informative as well as friendly and at times fun. One producer made exclusively conventional wines while there other was more of a port producer. The tour included a one hour boat ride on the Duoro River as well as lunch at one of the towns along the river. A wonderful experience which we would highly recommend.

This was a wonderful trip. Communication prior to the trip was excellent; we were picked up on time and every detail was planned to perfection. The group was a perfect size; small and personal. Joana, our guide, was friendly and welcoming. She shared a tremendous amount of information about the wineries and the area. The lunch was terrific! A great opportunity to share an authentic Portuguese meal. We had some great laughs; additionally enjoyed spending the day with some other travelers. It was a fantastic choice for our first trip to the Duoro area.
