Our guide, Ana, was amazing! She is so knowledgeable and took great care of us. The wineries we toured were outstanding, full of history and great tasting wines. You cannot beat the Douro Valley for the scenery! We were blown away by how beautiful it was, and thoroughly enjoyed the views on our Douro River cruise.

Full description
Start with pickup from your hotel in Porto and begin your adventure with a guided visit to a prestigious Douro Valley wine estate, or finca. Explore the lush vineyards and visit the cellar as you learn about each stage of the winemaking process.
Taste a variety of excellent wines throughout your visit. Then, sit down to savor a delicious 3-course lunch of traditional Portuguese dishes, accompanied by breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
Next, embark on a relaxing river cruise along the Douro River. Depart from a quiet private pier, and take in your breathtaking surroundings with views that extend along the shores of the river. Try some traditional Port tonic and a selection of snacks made from local products.
Continue to another winery for a second wine tasting session, featuring three more varieties made from the region's grapes. After a day of exploration, relax on the return journey to Porto, with drop-off at your hotel.
