Full description

Explore the ancient city of Porto with the convenience of an e-bike to climb the hills on this guided tour. The many old houses of the city of Proto seem to perch over the Douro River, huddled together from the quay to the sea.

Discover the old palaces, the churches, the emblematic neighborhoods, the people, and all the picturesque corners that the city has to offer. Porto is Portugal's second-largest city with many highlights to explore.

The historic core of the city was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. On your tour, see the Cordoaria Garden, the Clérgios Tower, Gomes Teixeira Square, the Lello Bookstore, Aliados Avenue, the Porto Cathedral, and the Dom Luís Bridge.

Riding ebikes around Porto with a guide was a great way to see the city and get the lay of the land without having to walk up all the hills. Our guide, Marlene, was very knowledgeable about the city, and Portugese history and culture. She made great recommendations for local restaurants and other things! If you have never ridden an ebike, take it slow at first, and plan to change the power level up and down throughout the ride - up for the hills, and down to lowest setting in the occasional crowded sidewalk or pedestrian zone. There were no restroom breaks, and few public restrooms in Porto and Portugal generally, so maybe ask the guide to plan one in.

Incredible experience. Great way to see the city and so fun! The bikes were easy to use and nice to not actually have to cycle up those hills! Our guide Gilles was very knowledgeable, personable, patient and great to spend the day with. Absolute beauty. He made the experience even better than it already was. I would give 6 stars if possible. Definitely something you should try!!

We joined the bike tour on our first morning in Porto and it provided an excellent orientation of the city. The electric bikes worked really well and coped well with the many hills. Our guide, Eduarda, was very friendly and informative. She allowed time at the key sights and viewpoints.
