Full description
Meet your local guide at the Municipal Library. At Praça dos Poveiros, a local hotspot, you’ll encounter your first sight of street art. If you’re lucky, you will visit ‘Maus Habitos,’ a hip venue for cultural events. At Praça da Batalha, compare Santo Ildefonso, a baroque church with traditional blue and white tiles, with modern architecture, like that of the Teatro Nacional São João. Keep the urban vibes going at Rua da Madeira, a hub for street art with incredible murals. Get to know the different graffiti artwork near the station. Visit a cool guitar shop, where the owner handmakes the instruments. Get lost in the side streets of Rua das Flores to discover graffiti gems! This newly restored area combines history and the new urban vibe of the city. Stop at Mercado Ferreira Borges, a former market dating back to 1885. Now a cultural hotspot, the locals enjoy concerts and other activities here. End your day with a stroll through the historic and charming area of Ribeira.

Perfect introduction

Forget the Yellow Bus Tours. Forget about the red en blue buses. Sure they are a great way to get to understand the layout of a city and to determine what places you want to see. But If you want an unique perspective on a city, and of course, great photo opportunities you need to get off the beaten track. Bruno gave us a perfect introduction as well as useful information and ideas for the rest of our stay. We enjoyed every minute! Thanks again. Best wishes.

Great tour.

Was very insightful. Showed us around the city, revealing to us some hidden gems whether it be art, architecture or just a iconic road/place. I recommend this to everyone who wants an insight into Porto, as well as the culture behind this fascinating city.

My guide was really fantastic (unfortunately, his name is slipping my mind). Just a note of caution: most of the museums and galleries are not open for the 9am tour time.
