Our whole day was terrific. Nice welcome at the office, spotlessly clean mini bus, small group of 6 and a friendly and attentive guide in Rui. He was very knowledgable about wine and wine production and general information about the Duoro region and the countryside. We were so glad we booked this tour as when we arrived at the vineyard there were groups of 30 getting the same tour and tasting as our wee group. Ours was so personal by comparison. Rui took us into the pretty village of Pinhao after the tour a a very nice picnic lunch with wine. I can highly recommend this tour and Rui as a guide. I would recommend you spend just a little extra on the smaller group tours than be part of a large herd of cattle. 😉

The best day of our 2 week trip, traveling around the country. The scenery as we hiked down through the vineyards was spectacular. Topped off by a delicious picnic lunch in a charming chapel courtyard, wine tasting and boat ride on the Douro…. To our guide, Tito, from PortoLocals- thank you-friend!

Our guide Tiago was fantastic, conversing in both French and English, ensuring everybody was included and informed. The two wineries we visited were lovely, one of them being small scale producer with beautiful facilities and hospitality. Lots of food, lots of wine in the beautiful countryside. Very laid back and gentle tour. I'd recommend Porto Locals.
