We stayed 6 days in Gaia and used Metro and a number of busses to reach hot spots in Porto and around on a daily basis. This worked very well for us and we saved quite some money with that. We didn't take advantage of the Porto Card, strolling around in museums and churches etc. was not on our bucket list this time.

  • You do not need to purchase a card for children aged up to 4 years old. After this age, children up to 12-years old continued to have free or discounted access of up to 50% to museums and monuments, except for transport
  • Each card is valid for 1 person only, and cards are not transferable
  • Porto.card discounts cannot be combined with other discounts, such as student or senior discounts

Booking this experience was very easy and the company was very responsive. They ended up asking us to rebook due to bad weather in the area and as a result, we had an even better experience than we would have if we had gone on our scheduled day. Our guide, Endre, was excellent! He was extremely knowledgeable of the history of Portugal, wine making, and practically every other topic our group asked about. The wineries, wine, food, and other amenities were very good. The boat ride was also nice, so bring your camera. If we had to do the tour again, we would 100% book with this company and want Endre to be our guide. This tour is worth the price!
