Full description
While you’re visiting Portugal make sure to find an opportunity to listen a very unique music style known as fado, which is actually a Portuguese word meaning destiny or fate. There’s no other style like it in the world, and UNESCO has placed it on the World’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. On this 3-hour tour, in addition to discovering fado, you’ll also discover the fascination of Porto by night, experiencing just how unique it is. See how impressive and majestic the city’s sights are when they’re illuminated after dark. You’ll see Porto’s city hall, the Clérigos Church and Tower, the Sao Bento Railway Station, the Dom Luís Bridge, Ribeira, and more. Stop by a traditional restaurant in the city center to enjoy a dinner featuring Portuguese cuisine and to experience a fado show. After dinner your guide will pick you up at the restaurant and drive you back to your hotel.

the food and the fado show was very good. the staffs in the restaurant were very nice and friendly too. I had a wonderful time in the restaurant. but the tourist guide wasnt so great, the event was finished about 10.30 to 11pm at night, the full description of the event showed "your guide will pick you up at the restaurant and drive you back to the hotel.", but my tourist guide said that she will only take us back to the car park behind the sao bento station. so we have to walk back to hotel ourselves, also an other couple wanted to drop off by one of the station, but she also refused as she said there was a lots of traffic.

It was amazing; so much better than I expected! Rather cynically I thought: quick tour, mediocre meal, maybe one or two Fado songs- I was so very wrong. Excellent tour with multilingual guide, really tasty food served by charming waiters, and the Fado- wow! A lady and gentleman, accompanied by two musicians, did sets through the whole evening - over 2 hours perhaps? I really strongly recommend this tour; it was so good!

The show itself is a spectacle, sure fun with one of the greatest Portuguese traditions. Excellent food and wine included. For the show and the guide, score 10. The score of zero goes to the living tour, the operator that marked us as a meeting point at her headquarters at 8:15 pm, we arrived fifteen minutes early and.... everything closed, we stayed on the street with wind and temperature of 12 degrees, not a door open for us to shelter from the cold.
