Take a trip by bus along the Douro River to discover charming riverside towns and landscapes on this full-day bus tour from Porto. Enjoy picturesque views of the famous river that flows between mountains, experience local traditions and food, and visit the birthplace of one of the world’s most beloved drinks, Port. Stop at the town of Amarante on the bank of the river, and see the historic Monastery of Saint Gonçalo, which dates back to the 16th century. What can i say? I booked this tour while visiting Porto with my two sisters and it was so easy to arrange the night before the tour through the website. Andre Vidal was our fantastic tour guide and throughout the day, he was engaging, thoughtful and kept the tour moving in a well paced manner. He clearly knew lots about the area and conversed in lots of different languages to support the others in the group. Manuel, our bus driver, is deserving of honourable mention as he got us safely and punctually to and from all places on our trip. It was a high quality tour; the lunch spot, winery, river cruise and sights were all so scenic and atmospheric. The food and wines were delicious. 10/10!

Wir sind super pünktlich abgeholt worden. Triago hat uns ausführliche Informationen über das Tal und die Weine gegeben. Das Mittagessen war für uns nicht sehr passend, aber die Weinbauführung und die ruhige Schiffsfahrt war toll auch für unsere Jugend. Sind gegen 17.30 wieder in Porto angekommen. Ein gelungener Ausflug in die Natur nach Porto Stadt!

What a great day. Went t a couple of fantastic cities during the and our guide Miguel kept us fully informed with his wealth of knowledge. The river trip was peaceful and beautiful and the tour of the Croft estate excellent. A real must do trip to get a real flavour of the Douro region.
