Beautiful but very long boat ride. Only 30 min at the vineyard to sample 1 port very quickly. Breakfast and lunch were good but bring snacks because you won’t eat anything after 12:00. No dinner! Once you get to pinhao you go right to vineyard, rush through that and then you are on a bus back to Porto for 2 hours! If you want a nice boat ride through 3 lochs and see the vineyards, this is the tour for you. Not a wine tasting tour!

a cruise to do absolutely, rich breakfast and lunch, passage of 3 locks, the banks of the douro, don't forget your caps! it is a pity that the speaker did not work, we did not take full advantage of the explanations. the departure was from the platform and on the return the bus dropped us at the station, we had not been warned, take a taxi to go / return

We enjoyed the river trip. The boat was not full, which was good as had it been full it might have felt a bit overcrowded. As it was, we started in heavy rain and ended with some good sunshine and sat on the roof for much of the latter part of the journey. However the visit to the vineyard was very short (I think we arrived late). We had one sample of port - a pink one - which was very nice and interesting as something new but not typical. So it would have been good to have the chance to taste other port too. We did buy an extra glass (4 euros) but didn't really have time to drink it. A long day, we were back in Porto well after 9pm.
