What to Expect
On this full-day tour you’ll visit Fátima, the site where Our Lady appeared to the 3 little shepherds. Experience the serenity and the spirit of devotion at the Sanctuary.
You’ll also stop in Aljustrel, the small village where the 3 little shepherds lived.
After lunch, you’ll continue on to Coimbra, the city of knowledge. This historical city was the birthplace of 6 Portuguese kings and once the capital of Portugal. Visit the first Portuguese university, dating from the 13th century, and the Cathedral, and take a walk along the narrow streets of the medieval city center.
You’ll see the 12th-century Monastery of Santa Cruz, the final resting place of the first Portuguese king. In addition, you’ll visit the Café Santa Cruz (located in a former Gothic church), the Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Velha, and Portugal dos Pequenitos.
