What to Expect
Your first stop on this private full-day tour from Porto is the city of Amarante, situated on the Tamega River in the Douro Valley. The guide will show you the Church of Saint Gonçalo and the historic center.
The tour continues on to Sabrosa, in the heart of the Alto Douro Wine Region, where you’ll explore Pinhão village. At this UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll stop at the railway station to see its 24 tile panels that depict landscapes of the Douro Region.
Afterwards you’ll head to the Douro Valley, crossing the river to the village of Peso da Régua. Along the way you’ll stop at 2 important wineries and have the opportunity to taste their wines.
