Full description

Explore the Douro Valley on a private full-day tour, 100 km from Porto. Learn about the region's wine culture, especially Port wines produced for over 2000 years. • Start with a guided walking tour in a historic village, visiting the convent, church, and Tamega River bridge. Enjoy a conventual pastry. • Visit the São Leonardo Galafura viewpoint for stunning views of the Douro River and terraced vineyards. • Proceed to Seara D'ordens (or similar) for a wine tasting and a 3-course lunch at Casa do Negrilho. • Continue to Pinhão for a 45-minute panoramic cruise on the Douro River. • End the tour at Quinta da Foz (or similar) with a guided tour and wine tasting paired with tapas. • Return to Porto, enjoying the beautiful landscapes.

The private tour was absolutely worth it. Rui is an excellent tour guide with a lot of know-how. We visited two small, family-run wineries and were warmly welcomed with wine and snacks. Lunch at one of the two estates was also delicious and authentic. The boat tour was the perfect end to a perfect day.
