If you want out of the tourist trap: Do this! Hugo was my guide and I totally recommend him. Next time I'm here I will do this again, with Hugo. Learned a lot and had a great time. This is not about money to him but showing the country he obviously loves. He also gave me two recipes and showed me a good place to eat. He almost cancelled but when I told him I could not reschedule I got a private tour. Again: Just do this! Totally recommended.
The Trip okay good. The Guide walk up and down the boat and told us the name of the beaches and caves. Unfortunately I was not able to see the inside of the Benagil Cave. Like others already mentioned, there is loud music, but luckily not to loud. Overall it was a nice time. One thing I really disliked, they served Nestea in plastic cups, hoped they have paper cups, since we passed so much plastic in the water.
I did this trip with my family yesterday Andre and Jao from Algarve Discovery were excellent boat pilots and tour guides. We saw some amazing caves and enjoyed their story telling and commentaries. Would highly recommend this experience.
Absolutely brilliant. Loved being able to access the smaller caves that the bigger boats could not get in to. Felt very safe, we were on the boat with our 3 young children and they loved it. Would definitely recommend.
Views were spectacular, one of the best trips in my life! Absolutely worth its price. The crew well-prepared. :) Waves were strong, so some may have felt a little seasick, take that in mind before booking.
