We had a very good trip. David, our guide, was great. Very insightful and funny. We had a great time looking up and down the coast of Portugal. Unfortunately the sea was too choppy to explore the caves but even without this the trip was well worth it! Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to see Portugal from a different view point. If you are set on seeing the caves I would suggest going in the summer when the sea is calmer :)

Full description

At the chosen time we'll meet at the San Francisco de Portimão dock and board a boat to sail off on our sunset cruise. We'll spend 1 hour and half sailing the Atlantic Ocean as we head towards the famous Benagil Cave, one of the most fascinating places in this part of southern Portugal. Get your cameras ready! As night begins to fall, we'll marvel at a breathtaking sunset over the magnificent landscape. We'll also get to admire the Alfanzina Lighthouse as we approach Benagil Beach, one of the most special places on the Algarve coast. Allocation of reserves is automatic. If you make individual reservations but are part of a group, let us know which reservations belong to your group.

Meeting point

Meet in front of the San Francisco Convent Ruins on the riverside. When arriving, you will have the Commercial Port of Portimao on your right. Go straight ahead on the dirt road. At the end of this road, you will find the meeting point.

  • -Purposely and improperly bursting lifejackets will incur an additional cost of €70 per life jacket, paid at the boarding point

Whenever this is not possible, our tour will maintain its charm, with an increased effort from our skippers to uncover the secrets of the Algarve coast.

  • -French and English tours will be monolingual whilst Spanish and Portuguese tours will be bilingual

Our guide and captain (Marcus and Sebastian) was great! Our guide was very informative and funny!!! Although the sea condition was a little rough (made the trip more exciting) and we couldn’t go inside the caves (so was only able to do a coastal tour) we would still highly recommend it! The coast was breathtakingly beautiful and the sunset was amazing!
