What People Are Saying About Portico d'Ottavia

James was a brilliant guide; full of knowledge, wit and warmth

James was flexible; taking us to an assortment of places and knowing so much about each place. He was a pleasure to be with and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Thanks.

Very interesting, but probably could fit into one hour.

Our tour guide (Helena? Or perhaps Elena), was lovely and very knowledgeable - a former university student of art history. The Jewish ghetto is quite small, and not much remains of the original tiny alleyways and ancient buildings - for this reason, I think the tour could probably be condensed into 60-90 minutes instead of two full hours. However, we did enjoy it, and partularly loved poking around the Theater Marcellus. In retrospect, I should have asked her more about what happened to Rome's Jewish population during the 1900s, but we were caught up in a discussion of the architecture of the area.

Informative, intelligent and insightful.

It was a great tour with a great guide who know his stuff and clearly loves his city. Claudio's passion shows!
