Start your journey with either hotel pickup, or transfer from the meeting point (MUSEO DEL ORO), accompanied by your guide. Arrive at the cable car station and begin your ride up the hill to El Paraiso. Takin in the panoramic views as your soar over the city. Gaze down at the colorful houses, and get a bird's eye view of the daily life of the residents. After your ascent, head off on a walking tour with your local guide to get a feel for the neighborhood. Wander the bustling avenues, spotting street art among the neon-painted houses and narrow boulevards. Meet local community leaders in charge of local residents and learn about the positive changes that are being put into place to help revitalize this vibrant, yet underserved district. Continue to the best spot for panoramic views over the entire city, then try a traditional Colombian snack to get a feel for local culinary culture. This is definitely one of the most brand new and original tour experiences in Bogotá that you can visit nowadays by Transmicable (cable car)! We will go to the Paraíso neighborhood in Ciudad Bolívar, an area of the city that is working hard to be the new scene for local inclusive social tourism. We will start at Portal Tunal to live the “Transmicable Experience”, a mobility solution for the habitants of the area and a new opportunity to discover a magical artistic and colorful territory constructed by local talent. As a social tour we involved local guys who believe in tourism as a tool of transformation. The local guide, the break dancer, the mom who prepares the snacks, the local artist who does the souvenirs, are part of the community that along this beautiful process have learnt about how to share the valuable things they are and have among a hostile panorama surrounded by social and economical conflicts. We have developed a walking tour in three areas of Paraíso: “el mirador”, an amazing viewpoint of Bogotá from the south-west side; “Parque Illimani”, a real social infrastructure with parks and soccer fields, and “La Serpiente”, a colorful 120 steps stair to appreciate the size of Ciudad Bolívar, plus the “huerta”, a vegetable garden promoted by local families.
