Excellent experience five star service, the guide (Mr Fonseca) was superb. It a must when visiting Porto, its a short drive with pleasant stops along the way. The vineyards were distinctive, the attention and atmosphere was unique. Lunch, was a fixed local menu, which exposed us to new dishes, it was very much worth it. The boat ride was a pleasant closure. We are not into tours, however this was more of a day with a local than with a guide, shout-out to Fonseca. I was intimidated at the begging because of the long duration of the experience but I have to admit the time flew by. Me and my family of four had a blast and so much to talk about.

We had a wonderful day with Hugo as our guide! I was a bit nervous about the schedule with bringing my 1.5 year old, but Hugo had a car seat set up and even brought some food options for her for the drive. We had a wonderful day and visited two gorgeous family owned wineries and had an incredible lunch. Would highly recommend this tour, especially if you are traveling with little kids - I don't think it would have worked well otherwise and seeing the Douro valley was top of my list for this area!

Hugo is amazing. Local tour guide, I felt like we were with an old friend. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. Nice comfortable Mercedes van. Throughout our drive to get to Douro Valley he gave us just the right amount of information. Very entertaining and informative. Great stop at a local cafe, vineyards were the most wonderful local experience. Local lunch, definitely not a tourist trap. This tour has been a highlight of our vacation.

We had an amazing private tour of the Douro Valley with our guide Hugo. The transport was excellent and Hugo was so thoughtful with all of his stops at different wineries and small towns. The boat ride down the river was also lovely with Hugo even bringing a bottle of port for us to toast on the boat! Would highly recommend the trip to anyone!

Hugo planned the perfect day. He chose family-run vineyards that are authentic, beautiful and not crowded. We had lunch at a restaurant filled with locals, and ended our day with a lovely boat ride. He is knowledgable, friendly and prompt. Would recommend him to everyone.
