Great. Compliments to Sensational Tours The tour for me was organized by Gerald Nicholas - better known as Nick - from Sensational Tours in Trinidad. Despite huge traffic, Nick arrived at my hotel almost on time for the pick-up. An extremely polite man, who tells a lot of interesting things and is very personable. After the boat trip he was waiting again. So all compliments to him and Sensational Tours, a family business that organizes many tours in Trinidad. The boat trip through the mangrove swamps at the setting sun was fascinating. We saw many beautiful bird species, with the highlight being a forest full of scarlet ibises. Also including a boa constrictor. Unfortunately, there were also a few Americans in the boat who were constantly talking loudly about themselves. Disruptive during a nature tour, but the organization and the guide on the boat cannot do anything about that. The trip was more than worth the money, especially in combination with the great pick-up service.

Highly recommended! You visit a natural reserve in a mangrove area, with many surprises when navigating through the channels and in the large main lagoon (in my case we saw boas, alligators, various birds and especially many coral-colored ibis, which are the main attraction of the site. ). At some points we had a lot of heavy rain, but when it stopped a large rainbow formed in the lagoon, and then, at the end of the activity, at night, we had a full moon. It is a unique experience and it was perfect. The driver took me from the hotel and back. The activity is done on large barges equipped with motors, which are very safe.

Marcus our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to explain the history of the regions we were passing through. We got to try mango and pineapple chow. And while it wasn't our first time trying these things they were definitely tasty. You can tell from his enthusiasm he loves and takes pride in his country. The tour of the swamp was relaxing. We saw a boa, an ant eater, scarlet ibis, flamingos, doves, and parrots. snacks were provided for free and some for purchase. overall I had a great time!

A great tour with a knowledable guide who tries to save local species like his father and grandfather. Loved the experience, as it was unique, but just wished I took my camera or had a better phone. Caught some good pics, but could be better, so be advised: camera with good zoom and quality advised! But even without it I think its a must attraction on Trinidad!
