Full description

Discover the Addo Elephant Park on a guided shore excursion. Explore the third-largest national park in South Africa, with expansive grounds, lush vegetation, and unsurpassed views of the continent’s most iconic wildlife. Begin your tour with pickup from the cruise terminal and board an air-conditioned vehicle and enjoy a 35-minute scenic drive through the South African countryside. Upon arrival at the park, and after check-in, begin your game drive. Spot animals such as the Big 5, zebras, warthogs, and antelopes. Your local guide will stop the vehicle when animals are spotted. During the drive, stop to stretch your legs at a lookout point where you can enjoy spectacular views of the park while sipping a refreshing drink and snack. Travel in a closed vehicle, making your way through the park from south to north, trekking along gravel and sand paths as well as tarred roads in search of the best viewing sites. Get acquainted with the incredible flora and fauna of the reserve and learn more about the area’s biodiversity. After working up an appetite, you can purchase lunch at the park restaurant. Use some free time to spend at the souvenir shop to find the perfect gifts, before continuing your safari and heading back south. Thereafter, you'll exit the park to be back in time at the cruise ship.

Experienced elephants of all sizes, sometimes up close. The lions didn't want to show themselves. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The departure was delayed for a relatively long time because there were no passengers. Your "mistake" was that you followed the instructions in the mail. However, the others were “collected” on the way from the Into Tours cruise ship and there was no one left at the agreed meeting point.

What a great day! Gary was just the guy to give us a raft of info and also went the extra mile to make it special. There were six of us in an air conditioned minibus so easy to get good positions for photos. I didn’t think that we would be so close to the wild animals. We saw families of elephants giving themselves a coat of mud for sun protection plus many more in the beautiful reserve. It was like watching children play in a pool!! The zebra were about 2 metres away and so pretty. We saw giraffe, kudu, warthog with babies, a mongoose, a cape cobra, tortoises, roi wildebeest and many species of birds. We had lunch in lovely restaurant in the game reserve followed by more searching for the big one - lions. Not this day though the previous week Gary had sighted them We were late docking but it was no problem for the company who were quick to respond to our problem and sort it out Highly recommended company if you want an excellent day tailored to you Karen and Ambrose Reddington

We were picked up on time by a very personable, knowledgeable guide in a minibus that was in good condition. She answered our extensive questions comprehensively and in a friendly manner. We had a fantastic trip seeing lots of elephants and lots of other animals. Unfortunately we didn't see any lions, but the national park is just incredibly big. It was an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed it very much!
