Following pickup in the morning, relax on the ride with entertaining commentary.

Travel down the Captain Cook Highway, known as the second most scenic highway in Australia, and learn the history of the region, along with local issues and stories about wildlife.

Arrive at the beautiful Freshwater Station and board the historic Kuranda scenic railway. Then, head through the rainforest and take in the breathtaking scenery of waterfalls and 15 dramatic tunnels carved through the rocks.

Upon arrival in Kuranda, explore the 'Village in the Rainforest', famous for its colorful arts and crafts markets, which are open every day.

Browse the wide variety of Aboriginal artifacts, such as handmade leather goods, wood, and jewelry. Stop at a café for lunch and listen to the busker, or try some local snacks such as macadamia nuts, honey, mango wine, homemade sweets, or delicious homemade ice cream.

Next, head up the coast to Palm Cove, where you'll be taken along the palm-fringed esplanade. Then, purchase a drink and enjoy some staggering views of the picturesque beach or take a walk along the beach and let the kids play in the playground.

Return to Port Douglas with new friends and great memories, before getting dropped off at your accommodation or chosen restaurant on request.

The whole day was great. It was such a pleasure to sit back, relax and enjoy a well planned day. We were picked up on time by Grant, who kept us amused and streamlined all the day's activities. Our train tickets were collected for us and as promised, he was waiting at the end of the ride to transport us to the market and then the air rail.

Very well-organized, meandering our way through the rainforest on the scenic railway. The commentary on the scenic train journey was very clear describing the hardships the construction crews faced in building the railroad through the mountains. A must journey to explore when visiting Cairnes or passing through. Kuranda is a very laidback township, especially the markets.

Really cool tour! We started with the Skyrail over the rainforest which was amazing, you dont feel as high up as you actually are given the height of the trees but the views are spectacular. The Skyrail finishes in Kuranda which is a lovely small town in the middle of the rainforest, the food there is very nice and it is nice to see the town. We travelled back to Freshwater Station by the train which was very cool, the views were incredible. The only downfall was that your seats are assigned and you could get stuck next to kids who were quite rude but all in all an amazing tour. Our driver Chris was nothing short if fantastic! He was on time, we weren’t rushed, he was entertaining and his knowledge of the area and rainforest was brilliant.
