What people are saying about Poole
The scenery is stunning but it would be beneficial to have fencing or a rope at the strip of land as you approach Durdle Door as a strong wind could blow you down a very dangerous drop. Durdle Door is beautiful but Lulworth Cove is stunning also. Paul our coach driver was friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of information on route by the scenic route around Bournemouth and Poole. We learned about smugglers, Sandbanks and even saw the most expensive hairdressers with a concierge to park cars! We were slightly late getting to our pick up point and Paul phoned us to see if were ok or if we needed directions. Plenty busy coach drivers would have gone without us. We really appreciated that friendly intervention. It is a beautiful place but you need sensible clothing and footwear. Paul let people who did not want to walk all the way back over the hill route go back to the main carpark in the coach by the road route. If you love scenery this trip is a must.
Having parked near the Suncliff Hotel and caught bus originally there, was dissapointed to find that no buses actually ran back to there. Fortunately it was a beautifully sunny day and so the 15 minute walk from town was ok. We actually hopped off 3 times and the last driver was super witty and entertaining (now forgotten his name but an Asian gentleman). Excellent route and commentary although far too quiet and if you sit outside it does get very difficult to hear. Still dont know what the Chines are about! Other critisism is two of the drivers were too fast so it felt like a rollercoaster at stages rather than a relaxing tour.
Excellent trip, clean ship with plenty of room for everyone in this covid day and age! The trip wasn't too long and the guide wasn't overloading us all with information. Very enjoyable and great views of our coastline!
We spent a lovely city break in Bournemouth and took this tour to explore the Jurassic coast and Dorset hidden cute villages and history. It was wonderful, highly recommended! And we had the best guide ever, Paul!
We had a lovely trip, the commentary en route was informative and crew very nice. Had a coffee and tea on offer. Got dropped at Swanage and had lunch in the harbour then the trip back. I would highly recommend.
