Rome: Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere Small Group Tour

2. Rome: Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere Small Group Tour

Explore the fascinating former Jewish Ghetto and picturesque Trastevere neighborhood of Rome on a private 3-hour tour, limited to 6 participants. Located next to the River Tiber, Rome’s Jewish neighborhood is the oldest in the western world. Rich in architecture and history, your walk follows in the footsteps of Roman citizens, starting at the archaeological site of Largo Argentina. Gaze at the foundations of the Theater of Pompeii, where Caesar was stabbed to death. Rome Like a Local 3-Hour Private Tour

3. Rome Like a Local 3-Hour Private Tour

Get off the usual tourist trail on a private 3-hour guided tour of Rome, and bring the saying, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do” to life as you discover city secrets and on-trend bars. Meet your guide at the Ponte Sant’ Angelo at a time suited to you. Then, escape the usual tourist traps by keeping away from the crowds outside the Colosseum or Pantheon, and strolling to hidden squares and local boutiques instead. As your stroll down picturesque streets you will barely notice that Rome is one of the most visited cities in Europe. Wander down quiet alleys in some of the oldest districts to find groovy bars and restaurants and a more authentic local culture. Check out local breweries, and sample a slice of the best pizza in town. The tour can be tailored to your own pace and interests, but the suggested itinerary will take you to a cozy street full of small boutiques, and on to a hidden library with a stunning garden. Then, walk along streets full of local bars, and enter a beer café and brewery. Stroll across the Ponte Sisto to sit down in a square in the Trastevere and enjoy a gelato. Return to the city center via the Isola TIberina.

Daniele the tour guide is a sweetheart! Showed us so many unique places, and his personal architectural knowledge made the tour so special. He took the care of showing different places since it’s my second time at Rome but he also mixed it with popular places since it was my husband’s first time. Incredible, some much knowledge and history shared. Highly recommend for the ones who love history and a unique experience.

The best way to see & experience Rome in the shortest possible time.

Our guide had an enormous knowledge of Rome and it's history. He made our tour enjoyable and exciting. Driving around town and stopping periodically for historical perspective was the best. At times we would park and enjoy the beautiful vistas that ROME offers. We would not have been able to experience Trastevere as we did, without seeing it from a Segway.

Eleonora was great!

Great your of the city! No touristic places, only the real history of Rome. Eleonora was very joyful and friendly, it was great to spend time with her. I recommend this tour which gives you another view of the city than Vatican and Colosseo

Very interesting tour with a Roman. There were only two people (low season), so very direct contact and lots of great explanations and a look behind the scenes. Gabi, the guide was very dedicated, it was funny and a lot of fun.

Great tour with Elena

Elena was great, she showed how to live like an Italian for tour..what a sweet heart! I highly recommend her.
