For those who fear heights, be prepared to overcome this challenge! However, it is a footpath that is definitely worth it. We walk very close to the stream and feel the vibrant nature. On the way, we will pass by the iconic former Hydroelectric Power Station. The use consisted of a dam designing an artificial lake with the capacity to store water at night to be turbocharged during the day. The dam, still in use today, has a maximum height of 11m, was built in masonry, and was remodeled in 2005 in its maneuvering organs and reinforced with an interior concrete wall to consolidate the structure to prevent water infiltration that occurred. Then, it is time to return to the starting point. At the end of this experience, we will drop you back in Ponta Delgada.
