Helena was the most amazing tour guide! She showed us all of the hidden gems around São Miguel and always made sure that everyone was enjoying themselves and the tour and went above and beyond to connect with everyone. She also made sure that you had a good time even if you couldn’t do the hikes or weren’t comfortable doing them. The hikes weren’t hard, I didn’t find them exhausting (so unless you have mobility issues or are really unfit, you’ll be fine!), just make sure that you’re wearing good shoes because the paths can be muddy and slippery. Our guide, Manuel, was so awesome. He did a marvelous job of explaining all the sites we were seeing and we saw the most stunning views and lush green scenery. I can’t think of a thing I would change about this tour. It was definitely a 5-star rating and worth the money. The traditional Portuguese lunch was fabulous. Ask for Manuel if you book a tour with this company!!
We had absolutely amazing weather, which helped to make this trip completely stunning. The views! Wow. It was a great overview of the west and gave me a good idea of the places I want to return to and explore more later. The lunch was delicious and our guide, Manuel, was great. I definitely recommend this tour!
