We entered the park with no wait,The guide was extremely knowledgeable, but very pedantic. There was little enthusiasm or joviality in his presentation . However, he gathered the group in areas where there was nothing to look at (like facing a wall, or enclosed in a tunnel.). We left the tour early to see more on our own

Eraldo (don't think I've spelt that right, sorry) was an excellent guide. He made the whole visit informative and interesting. We joined an earlier group, as arrived ahead of schedule, which suited us. With a 14 year old in tow, we'd opted for the two hour slot, as felt that would be plenty long enough for the whole family. Eraldo sensibly directed us to shaded areas, where possible, in the extreme heat. The audio equipment worked really well and you could easily hear everything he said. Our group numbered 20+ people, but didn't feel overly crowded. Pompeii is a vast site and we were given the option to explore on our own at the end of the tour. We were happy to leave by then and get some lunch and drinks at one of the places near the station. I've wanted to visit for many years and it truly was a memorable experience. Thank you.

Our guide was Romeo and he was very good- funny, soulful, with a bit of social commentary. We enjoyed learning about the different structures and the ways of life of these Romans. Wow! The preserved frescoes are amazing as well as the mosaics. It was a day to remember.
