It was a fantastic experience !!! We chose the audio guide and we were justified, as instead of old fashioned intercoms-handphones, we were given smartphones (with GPS) with App the map of the Pompeii, marking where are you and what to see !!! Very handy and briliant. Caution : you should bring your headphones. There are some usefull tips, so as to take advantage of this : Print your vouchers, you will take your audio guide from the Porta Marina Superiore kiosk by using any kind of I.D., then enter through Piazza Esedra, as there is a kiosk (far left) for e-tickets/vouchers and skip the line. Enjoy it!
This is a ticket you could easily purchase at the entrance which was a few dollars less.
