Giovanni was a great guide very kind and knowledgeable. His jokes made the trip fun and exciting. Giacomo was an experienced driver you can tell he knew the city and how to navigate it. Both sites were very fun to visit and the wine tasting was amazing!
This was an excellent trip and we would highly recommend it. The pick up was very efficient and transportation in an air conditioned mini bus was very comfortable. Our driver Antonio from WorldTours took great care to ensure our comfort even opening the roof of the bus as we climbed Vesuvius so we could make the most of the views along the coast and over Naples. Lello was an amusing and informative guide during our morning in Pompeii and clearly had passion for his work. Lunch and wine tasting in the vineyard was an excellent stop off to recharge before we climbed Vesuvius in the afternoon. It is slightly challenging by virtue of the steep incline and rocky terrain but well worth the 40 minutes to reach the crater where the views are incredible. A €2 glass of wine each to celebrate our wedding anniversary at the top made this an incredibly memorable day. Thank you!

In Pompeii, a professional archaeologist leads a 2-hour exploration of the ancient Roman city, preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional Italian lunch at a local eatery.
The afternoon continues with a visit to Mount Vesuvius. Guests can choose between two scenic trails:
The Crater Trail, a hike to the summit offering breathtaking views and a close look at the volcano’s crater.
The Valley of Hell, a more adventurous path through historic lava flows and geological formations, including a small lava cave.
Expert guides accompany both routes, sharing insights into the area’s rich natural and historical background. Moderate fitness is recommended, but both paths are accessible to most travelers. Whether you opt for the crater or the lava valley, the tour delivers a fascinating encounter with one of Italy’s most iconic landscapes.

- Please choose one of the meeting points from the list for the guide to pick you up. As this is a group tour, requests for changes to the meeting point will not be accepted.
- During the low-season, a live guide inside Pompeii ruins will be provided with a minimum of 6 participants per language; up to 5 participants we will provide audioguides.
- Confirm the seleceted meeting point and pickup time by contacting the supplier 12 hours before the tour.
- The visit of the Vulcano is subject to weather conditions. In case of bad weather or closure of any Vesuvius trails, an alternative Vesuvius route will be provided. Should the access to the top be restricted, an alternative itinerary is offered, leading you to the Hell Valley. Here, you can tread upon and beneath an ancient solidified lava flow from the 1944 eruption, adding a unique twist to your volcanic exploration.
