Pompeii: Skip-the-Line Entrance Ticket with Audio Guide

Pompeii was great. Not clear where to get audio guide

Loved this… what an amazing place… we hadn’t planned to have a guide but we were persuaded to pay an extra €10 each for the tour and we were glad we did in the end. She was very good and we learned lots of things we wouldn’t have worked out for ourselves. We spent about three and a half hours in the place in total and saw lots but there was plenty we didn’t see too. Easy to get there from Naples by train (super crowded though) and we enjoyed the flexibility of not going on one of the coach trips from the city.

I was like 5 mins late from the purchase ticket time but the lady said it’s fine can just go in anytime. The ticket exchange counter is literally not even a minute walk away from the entrance, right above the Pompeii train station. Gave us a mobile phone as an audio guide and a map as Pompeii is huge and you will struggle without a map - bear in mind it’s hot and only one cafe available on site. Have an aux cable earphone ready as it’s handy to use with the phone - I got this from the red bus shuttle from Naples. Overall it’s a great place to visit and a few places to chill right outside the entrance after a hot tiring walk around Pompeii site.
