Thank you so much for offering a guided tour with an archeologist. It was so interesting and helpful to have someone lead the way. Antonnella was an excellent guide and had so much detailed information. I had done some reading about the ruins before our visit and she did such a great job of bringing to life the remains of the town. Excellent tour with a great guide who gave us a detailed understanding of the every day life of the Pompeii residents. Really recommend this tour! Only thing would be good to give a bit more historical context but that’s just a comment from us historical geeks. The tour didn’t include walking to the big sites (such as the amphitheatre, etc) so make sure you don’t leave right after the guided tour but continue exploring on your own!

Our tour guide was very good and took time to answer questions. We saw a variety of different dwellings, shops, plaster casts of human and animal remains as they were found. There was plenty of history and description of Roman way of life. It was quite hot. Take plenty of fluids and wear sensible footwear as the streets and pavements are uneven.
