What people are saying about Pompei

The groups are reasonably sized - if there are more people, it seems the company organizes more guides instead of packing everyone into one. The meeting point was easy to find, the closest entrance to the train station. Personally I found difficult to listen the guide through an earphone so I stayed closer to catch the speaking without it but was still useful when wondered a bit away. Our guide - Andrea - was good, and he was able to answer questions about further historical details. The pace and the quality was also good, the tour lasted a bit over 2 hours. It is sort of difficult to pick the most interesting parts of the ancient city, but he managed to show some real highlights within relatively short time. The only issue that the explanations were often linked to modern life (like references to countries that did not existed that time or American fastfood chains). Be prepared to bring water and snacks in case, but be aware no restrooms on the way. Highly recommended.

We were picked up promptly by out driver Gennaro at 7.30 from our hotel and then drove around Naples picking up other guests, then off to Pompeii. Expert driving around the congested street of Naples! Our tour guide nuncio kept us informed on the journey with a narrative on the road, then in Pompeii we joined a larger group for excellent (if compact- we will need to go back to see the amphitheatre!) walk around. Swift lunch near Vesuvius, and then about an hour and a half to climb to the top (30 minute walk); have a look round and head back to the coach. Home around 4.30. Would thoroughly recommend- slick outfit and excellent guiding. Food (margarita pizza) was as expected, and meal included drink and lemon tart dessert.

We found the tour to be a great introduction to our visit to Pompeii. Our guide, Tony, had a lovely balance of sharing facts, anecdotes and comedy and the two hours flew by. He was also able to answer all of our questions and direct us to where we might want to go when the tour finished. After that, we were free to continue exploring the city - which is a sprawling maze of streets. Pompeii is definitely worth a visit, even without the tour, although we found the information from our tour guide added a lot of value to understanding what we were seeing and how life would have been back then.

This was an amazing tour lead by an extremely knowledgeable and passionate guide names Rosella (she even booked for us, on our request one of her favourite resturants in rome to eat after the trip which was also amazing called Osteria Al Vicolo 9 which i would also 100% recommened). It was wonderful to see the treasures of Pompeii and its museums. The guide provided indepth background info on Ancient Rome and the history on Pompeii. It was wonderful to skip lines and gain to access to everywhere quickly, would 100% recommend.

It was amazing our guide had all the little details and was able to keep us engaged. It was very personal which was just a cherry on top of an already amazing tour and tour and tour guide.
