Jump aboard a hot air balloon for a magical sunrise flight over the spectacular vineyards of the Hunter Valley. Take in the golden light over the hills behind Pokolbin, Lovedale and Rothbury. Then, celebrate the adventure over a gourmet breakfast and a sparkling wine at the Peterson House Winery. Begin your morning with a pre-flight passenger safety briefing and a chance to help out with the inflation of the balloons. Next, you’ll take-off into the skies above the Hunter Valley, admiring the verdant region from above as the sun rises over it. After landing, you’ll make your way to the Peterson House Winery, home to an award-winning restaurant famous for its bubbly breakfast. Enjoy an a-la-carte breakfast over some sparkling wine to finish an unforgettable morning adventure.

Experience the Audrey Wilkinson Cellar Door,  located in a prime position at the foothills of the Brokenback Mountain Ranges with spectacular views of the Hunter Valley. From the cellar door you will be guided to the on-site museum with plenty of history to see and learn. You will be guided by an experienced host through a wine Master-Class before enjoying a premium tasting of the showcase wines, which the winemakers consider to be classic varietals. Once you have completed your tasting and hopefully picked a favorite wine, you can collect your packed picnic lunch and a bottle of wine and head to one of the scenic spots on site.  Sit among the vines and enjoy the stunning views, pick a sunny spot on the lawn over looking the surrounding regions or set up at one of our undercover tables on the verandah. The experience truly is your own, enjoy it as a couple or with a group of friends.

Be picked up from the convenience of your accommodation in Pokolbin. Board a comfortable, air-conditioned, and well-maintained vehicle. Take in the lush rolling hills of the Hunter Valley on your way to wineries, cellar doors, and vineyards. Feel the excitement build as we set off to explore the local area and get to taste Hunter Valley wines. We will be sampling fine wines at Hunter Valley boutique wine cellars. You'll be able to immerse yourself in learning the many different stories behind the boutique wines you try, feel the passion behind each story. We will stop so you'll enjoy a fresh relaxed style lunch (not fine dining) with a drink provided before we head off again to try some more wines after lunch along with a visit a cheese outlet where samples of cheeses may be provided by the venues. Indulge in something sweet at a handmade chocolate and fudge shop visit for you to purchase some sweet treats before your day comes to an end, any food that is provided as a sample is often complimentary from the shops themselves. This is a visit for you to look at and maybe purchase products, if you do not wish to engage, you are happy to look around the small businesses on site and meet back at the tour bus in time to move to the next stop. Let your local host delight you with commentary along the way. Spot local wildlife like kangaroos as you travel. Be returned to your accommodation in Pokolbin at the end of the tour. 

Ride through the bushland and vineyards of the Hunter Valley on a sunset horseback ride. Take in the sights and sounds as the local fauna come out to dine and be mesmerized by the sunset over the Broken Back Range. Experience the Hunter Valley with its beautiful scenery and award-winning wine and produce on a 3-hour horse and carriage tour. Enjoy wine tastings at 2 venues, and cheese and chocolate tastings at the 3rd and final venue that we visit. Meet your guide at the Wine House Hunter Valley at 426 McDonald's Road Pokolbin. Follow the driveway past the Wine House building until you see the carriages. If the horses and carriage are not there on your arrival, please wait as they won't be far away. The venues you visit are dependent on availability and may include Pokolbin Estate, Tamburlaine Organic Wines, McGuigan Wines, Sobels Wines, Pokolbin Village Smelly Cheese, the Pokolbin Chocolate shop, the Pokolbin Chocolate Factory, or The Carriages Boutique Hotel and Vineyard. Most of the venues provide groups with private sit-down tastings where you will learn about the processes involved in making these beautiful wines. HUNTER VALLEY WINE COUNTRY DAY TOUR. DEPARTING DAILY at 7 am Sydney Central Station. With a maximum group size of 30 happy people, this is a fun-filled day exploring a variety of top-quality venues and activities in the Hunter Valley. Did someone say Chocolate, Cheese, and award-winning wines?!! This is a day tour departing daily from Sydney that you don't want to miss. The tour includes some of the oldest and newest wineries in the Hunter Valley. The Tour INCLUDES an extensive LUNCH Menu from 4 Pines Brewery at Hunter Farm. After lunch, we move on to the next generations of winemakers and their cellar doors. You can't leave the Hunter Valley without visiting the famous Hunter Valley Chocolate Company, where we have a delicious chocolate tasting. Our last experience is with the Hunter Valley Visitors Centre team, where you can purchase that perfect gift for someone special back home. Then, we will head back to the magic metropolis of Sydney, which is very happy and content, full of Hunter Valley Happiness, and arrive back at Sydney Central Station at approximately 6 pm. Arrive at Draytons at 10 am Draytons Wines is the oldest winery in Pokolbin and one of the oldest wineries in Australia. It combines over 170 years of winemaking with modern techniques to produce wines, liqueurs, and fortified tawny of outstanding quality. 11.10 am Arrive at BEN EAN CELLAR DOOR In September 2017, the McGuigan and Peterson families acquired Ben Ean, returning the property to its historical roots in the Hunter Valley. The McGuigan and Peterson families are dedicated to maintaining and developing the estate as a salute to some of the best-known viticulturists and winemakers of the last 170 years in the Hunter. 12.30 pm HUNTER RESORT and 4 PINES BREWERY Lunch at 4 Pines at The Farm, Hunter Valley, is relaxed. You can pair your new favorite 4 Pines brew, a glass of Hunter Valley wine, or a classic cocktail with a tasty meal from our menus. All of our dishes are freshly prepared, and there are plenty of options so you can sit back and take in the atmosphere. The restaurant is air-conditioned inside, or you can enjoy the outside balcony overlooking the Hunter Wine Country. SAVANNAH ESTATE 1.45 pm THE NEXT GENERATION OF HUNTER VALLEY WINES Experience Elegance & Perfection Savannah Estate Wines are produced from small select parcels of premium fruit grown in renowned viticulture regions throughout Australia. The Hunter Valley, north of Sydney in New South Wales, is one of Australia's major wine regions, with a viticultural history dating back to the early 1800s. Known for varietals such as Semillon and Shiraz, it’s home to numerous wineries, including world-renowned brands and family-run boutique operations. One of the facts which make this tour so unique and exciting is that it's always dynamic. After picking you up from Sydney Central, we will be heading up, towards Hunter Region (2.5 hours away from Sydney), where we will have a quick stopover, halfway through, for a morning coffee (15 - 20 minutes - own expense). Now that you got to the charming town of Hunter Valley, it’s time to get your palate set for a variety of Hunter’s signature wines. We will be visiting three wineries (each winery takes about one hour). We will also stop at one of our favourite places for lunch. Here you got great views, home-brand wines, and a delicious meal with paired glass wine - at your own expense(special for only $30.00 pp). As per the weather conditions, before heading back, we will stop for a quick picnic with local wines and cheese (provided by us) where you can expect one of the most beautiful views of the area! Great opportunity to chill out, and soak it all in, while having a glass of wine with some cheese, before we hit the road back to Sydney Central.
