Enjoy the natural beauty of the Himalayas on this 9-day guided hike from Pokhara. Travel through rhododendrons to the village of Ghorepani, cross a suspension bridge on the way to Dovan, and discover the beauty of the Annapurna massif on the way to the Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 1:
Be picked up at your accommodation in Pokhara and relax on the drive to Nayapul which is situated at 1,070 meters. Take in stunning views of small villages and lush forests on the way to Tikhedhunga which lies at 1,570 meters. Settle in at your guesthouse and rest for the evening.
Day 2:
Take a steep trail through dense rhododendron forests to reach Ghorepani at 2,850 meters. Be rewarded with breathtaking mountain views from the village. Have free time at your guesthouse for the night.
Day 3:
Start early with an invigorating hike up to Poon Hill (3,210 meters) for sunrise views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. After time to for breakfast, trek to Tadapani (2,630 meters) through forests and charming villages. Stay overnight at your guesthouse.
Day 4:
Descend to the Kimrong Khola River, cross a suspension bridge, and climb up to the village of Chhomrong (2,170 meters), which offers spectacular views of the Annapurna South and Hiunchuli mountains. Rest up overnight at your guesthouse.
Day 5:
Venture down to the Chhomrong Khola River and cross a suspension bridge. The trail then climbs up through forests to reach Dovan (2,600 meters), a small settlement surrounded by bamboo forests. Settle in for the night at your guesthouse.
Day 6:
Journey from Dovan to Deurali (3,230 meters) on a trail through dense forests that crosses several streams. Have free time to rest at your guesthouse in this small settlement that is surrounded by mountains.
Day 7:
Travel from Deurali to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700 meters). Pass over a trail that climbs up through forests and passes several small settlements before reaching Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From here, follow a steep ridge to reach Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 meters).
Let remarkable views of the Annapurna massif take your breath away as you get ready to rest for the night at your guesthouse.
Day 8:
Begin the trek down from the Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,310 meters). Go by forests and small settlements along the way. Enjoy a night of well-deserved rest at your guesthouse in Bamboo.
Day 9:
Hike from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1,780 meters) were you can soothe your muscles in the natural hot springs before taking the rail to Nayapul (1,070 meters). Transfer back to Pokhara in a comfortable car and bid farewell to your guide.
