From Pokhara: 5-Day Mardi Himal Base Camp Guided Trekking

Day 1: At 8:30 AM, your guide will meet with you at your hotel in Pokhara. Then, drive to Kande and trek to Pothana/Deurali (2125 m). Overnight stay at a teahouse lodge.

Day 2: Trek to Low Camp (3150 m). The next day, the trail continues to the low camp at height of 3150 m. It will take about 3 hours to reach and, once there, you will be able to enjoy views of beautiful rhododendron trees covered with moss, fern, and lichen. The best view from this camp is the splendid Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Mountain. There are just 3 lodges at the low camp and you will stay in Low Camp GH or similar. Overnight stay at a teahouse lodge.

Day 3: Trek to High Camp (3700 m). On day 3, trek straight to the high camp, which will take around 5 to 6 hours to reach. Pass through the Mardi Ridge, which shall provide majestic views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Isolated rhododendron bushes and colorful Danphe pheasants are also a major attraction of the trail. There are 3 hotels at the high camp, which are much bigger than the ones at the low camp. The best hotel there is Trekkers Paradise, with internet facilities, hot and cold water, showers etc. Overnight stay at a teahouse lodge.

Day 4: Hike to Mardi Base Camp and trek down to Sidding (4500 m). On day 4, the trek arrives at Mardi Base Camp. Start the journey there after breakfast. It will take around 5 hours to get to. Explore the area and enjoy the exotic flora and fauna, mountain ranges, and snowy landscape. After spending some time there, begin the descent back to Sidding. It will take around 4 hours. The way can be slippery too, so caution is advised here. Stay at Trekkers Lodge or similar at Sidding. Organic and non-organic foods, water, internet facilities available. Overnight stay at a teahouse lodge.

Day 5: Drive back to Pokhara by Jeep. From Sidding, trek to Lumre, passing through the villages of Kalimati and Ghalel. From Lumre, travel by Jeep until arrival back in Pokhara. You will be dropped off at your hotel.
