Full description

After meeting your guide, set off on your journey from Split. Sit back and relax as you enjoy the 3.5-hour pleasant drive through the hinterland of Dalmatia and Lika region until you reach your destination for the day - the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Plitvice Lakes National Park, this area of outstanding beauty, has been protected since 1979. It features 16 emerald-turquoise lakes that are connected to each other by a fabulous system of waterfalls. These beautiful waters are surrounded by natural green forests and amazing landscapes that will take your breath away.

The park is also home to different animal and plant species which makes it even more precious. Along the way you will stumble upon places with absolutely phenomenal panoramic views, making it a fantastic place to grab some holiday snaps. Your guide will assist you in purchasing entrance fees and inform you of when and where to meet after your free time in the park. Use your free time inside the park for a pleasant recreational walk. Explore the park on foot, discover its secrets, and make your way from the lower lakes to the upper lakes. Once you have explored the stunning park, relax and rest your legs in the bus that will take you back home. Before reaching Split, you will have one more stop along the way - a famous Croatian cuisine restaurant which is a must-visit for anyone who travels from the north to the south of Croatia.

There you will have an opportunity to taste some of the specialties of the Lika Region or take a short walk to stretch your legs. You will get back to Split early in the evening full of wonderful memories and well rested from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

I definitely recommend going on this tour, but I recommend going through a different company. the guided tour isn’t involved in the price. You have to pay an extra 100 kuna (14 USD) for a guided tour, and you need to pay an extra 250 kuna (35 USD) to enter the park. Food isn’t provided and they only give you one bottle of water. Overall, I enjoyed talking to our guide Petar on the bus, but I think the price isn’t good for what you get.

Fantastic trip. From initial booking, receiving confirmation email, with lots of details on how to prepare for the day, where to meet, with timings etc, it was all excellent. On the trip, the driver Anthony & guide Petar, were brilliant and made the day so relaxing, enjoyable and very informative. They were attentive and made sure everyone was catered for. Unfortunately some people didn't read the information beforehand and came unprepared, but they were given opportunity to purchase additional items at comfort stop and at final destination, to enable them to make their day experience more comfort. I can 100% recommend this trip.

One of our most favourite trips in Croatia! We took a small bus to Plitvice - very comfortable and we particularly liked that it was a small group. Plitvice is always very chilly apparently and some people were even asked to go back and bring more warm clothing - very thoughtful of the guides! The journey to Plitvice was about 3 hours but Haris, our guide, was so informative about our surroundings. Plitvice is such a beautiful park and Haris considered everyone’s preferences in terms of the route to take within the park. We did a 3 hour route and it was magnificent… didn’t feel like a hike at all but more an enjoyable, long, walk with the most beautiful views. The colours and surroundings during Autumn are spectacular. The best part at the end - the highest waterfall in Croatia. Amazing! Highly recommend!
