I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were taken first to the museum where we had the history of bull fighting explaining in detail. Then onto the area where the horses were kept when used in the fight earlier in it's history. The final part of the tour we were taken into the ring itself. A great experience all round. The guide was superb and has a vast knowledge of the history of bull fighting and was clearly explained. I would recommend this tour.

Full description

Waste no time waiting in line with a skip-the-line ticket to the bullring in Seville — the Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza. Take an included 1-hour guided tour to get the most out of your visit, and enjoy the use of an included headset so you don't miss a moment of your guide's commentary.

During the activity, visit the Bullfight Museum, which is divided into 4 different parts. Discover the aim of bullfighting and the history of it. Learn about the different parts of a bullfight and all the people who have a share in it. Take a look at original bullfighter costumes, capes, and more.

Next, head to the horses' courtyard and admire the chapel where bullfighters pray before the fight. Stay for a few minutes in front of the main gate, hear the sound of the opening wood door, then enter the arena like a bullfighter.

From the middle of the arena, contemplate the tendidos (front rows), look at the bull pens (toriles), and appreciate the most important gate in the bullring: the Prince's Gate. If the matador crosses it, he gets a wonderful reception.

We really enjoyed our tour, really informative without overloading with information but really brought the history and bullring to life. Only 6 of us on the tour so it was really easy to ask questions and delve deeper into the guides knowledge. Margerite our guide was friendly, very knowledgeable and easy to engage with.
