If you are passionate about nature, this is the perfect way to get to know the island and discover the mountains of Mallorca. UNESCO World Heritage, tradition and nature make Sierra de Tramuntana a must see corner of Mallorca. This impressive mountain range is almost 90 km long. If you are a nature and hike lover and you want to avoid crowds, let me show you the local hiking routes full of beautiful views and heritage elements. I will meet you in Palma and from there we will take the transportation to the mountains. Depending on the weather and your hiking skills we will hike partly a famous GR221 hiking trail called “Dry Stone Route ” that attracts many tourists from all over the world. Apart of amazing views we will enjoy the possessions and “fincas” with cultivated terraces built with dry stone walls, ancient irrigation systems from Muslim era and the olive trees that are almost 1000 years old! After approximately 2 hours of hiking we will stop for a picnic and apart from fantastic views we will be probably accompanied by wild goats. In summer it will be a possibility to take a swim in crystalline water in one of the beaches on our way. I will choose the right route for your skills and shoes and of course the weather conditions. The intensity level is up to you! The photos are from the various routes. In the case of the bad weather we will find another time for our experience or you will get a full refund. Hike for around 5 km before returning to Valldemossa. Walk through cobblestone streets, full of history and flower pots on the walls. I will introduce you an ancient agricultural property located in small town in the middle of Mallorca. You will learn how wine was made in 19 century (4 generations before) and how is done now. The estate has wines of different varieties, perfectly adapted to the soil and bioclimatic conditions. All grapes are harvested and processed by hand! After a guided walk through the estate you will participate in a tasting session of four of the wines paired with the typical mallorcan tapas.
