Playa del Inglés: Surfing Class for Beginners

1. Playa del Inglés: Surfing Class for Beginners

Become a surfer for the day in the perfect year-round weather conditions of Gran Canaria. Visit the most beautiful beaches on the island, and discover the best waves for learning. Enjoy maximum fun and maximum safety as you get to grips with surfing. Classes begin with a theory lesson in the surf school at the foot of the spectacular sand dunes of Maspalomas. The video class is a fun, uncomplicated session that will soon set you up for a day in the water. Then, it's time to get wet and put theory into action. Once your instructors have located the best beach conditions, they will be in the water with you at all times, making sure that you get the most out of your session. As a mobile unit, the instructors will determine the best conditions on your lesson day, meaning you will not only learn how to surf, but will discover some of the most beautiful spots on Gran Canaria, and get to experience the island’s surf culture up close.

Gran Canaria: Snorkeling Trip

2. Gran Canaria: Snorkeling Trip

After your guide prepares the wetsuits and snorkeling equipment, you will drive to one of the local beaches for a 1-hour snorkeling excursion. Learn how to use your equipment and dive in for a guided snorkeling experience during which your guide will lead to the best spots, pointing out and identifying the local marine life. Following your snorkel session, you will be driven back to the dive center.

What people are saying about Playa del Inglés

Met all the crew at the location and they got us fitted into our suits and wet shoes with no issues, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We then all hopped into car to amadores beach where we then got dressed and headed to sea, the girl taking us explained everything for us very well and let us get accustomed to the snorkel in the sea without making us feel rushed. She then took us out for just under an hour around the bay where we spotted lots of fish, sea urchins and even an octopus! Was absolutely beautiful and would highly recommend it. Breathing in the snorkel does take some getting used to but all you need is five minutes to figure out how to breath properly and realise you’ll not drown under the water if you’re sensible and not panicking! Would absolutely do it again and would urge everyone to give it a go. You’re in safe, friendly, knowledgeable hands with the crew and I couldn’t fault a single thing.

The staff were super friendly and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. The diving was very exciting. We even had the opportunity to borrow a Go Pro (for €25 with 8GB) to record our trip. We took this chance and got great results. They even gave us a free ride to our hotel which was close to the beach where we were diving. I can warmly recommend. :)

Great first time snorkelling was really enjoyable and the instructor Erin made it really easy and put us at ease
