Full description
On this tour, you can either snorkel with white whales or view them from our boat. Measuring up to 46 feet (14 meters) and weighing up to 15 tons, the whale shark is the largest fish in the world. They are very docile creatures, eating only plankton and enjoy the interaction with the people who come to swim with them. Your tour starts in the morning between 06:00 AM to 07:00 AM. You will be picked-up from your hotel and take you to Punta Sam in Cancun. Here you will take a high-speed boat to the whale sharks. En route, you will be shown the abundant sea and bird life found at Isla Contoy. On a typical day, see a School of Wild Dolphins, Flocks of Flamingos, Stingrays, Ibis, Egrets, Pelicans and the rare "Chimay Birds.” In small groups, enter the water to swim among the whale sharks. You will be provided with full snorkel gear, masks, flippers and life vests.

A unique experience!

The experience of this tour is unforgettable. It was really a great choice to do it and do it with this wonderful team. Valeria, our guide, was amazing with all the participants, explaining in detail what the tour consisted of and everything about whale sharks. She was a 10 as a guide. Depending on where your hotel is, you should get up early (we were picked up at 5.30 am) but still worth it. There are up to 3 opportunities to swim with the sharks, the team takes pictures of you and a person from the team always accompanies you on each dive. You can also have the opportunity, like us, to see dolphins and striped blankets. The subsequent visit to Isla Mujeres, where I eat a delicious ceviche in the water, with music and near the boat is great! 100% RECOMMENDABLE! - ATTENTION: the collection with the agency takes place a couple of days in advance, since we forgot to pick up the agreed day and we had to postpone it for the next day

Great experience!

Always in pairs you can watch the whale sharks with the tour guide or swim next to them. Warning: risk of sunburn! You are at least 6 hours on the open sea and you have to protect yourself well. Only certain environmentally friendly sun creams are allowed (none of the common brands). Allowed sunscreen, hat, long-sleeved t-shirt can be bought for 15-25 USD. Tip: take cash with you! You cannot pay with a card on site!

Great tour! Incredible experience with the whale sharks. Snorkeled four times side by side. Completely harmless. Even saw a manta ray and dolphins. Super nice and personable tour guide (Pato). Unfortunately long bus ride. Snorkeling on the Isla Mujeres beach after the whale sharks. Rough sand, poor visibility, no fish completely unnecessary. Good food throughout the tour.
