Full description

The first stop is Tulum, the ancient Maya city perched on a cliff overlooking the Mexican Caribbean sea. Your expert bilingual guide will share fascinating information about the archaeological site, its importance in history, and the day-to-day life of its inhabitants at its peak. Hear all about the past cultures and the theories of their demise. Next up is a visit to Cenote Kuxtal for a swim. Cenotes are unique to the Yucatan Peninsula, natural sinkholes in limestone caves that were sacred to the ancient Maya people. You will then savor an authentic regional lunch buffet to recharge for the last stop of the day. The last part of this incredible journey is a guided tour of the Coba Mayan ruins. Still mostly hidden beneath the jungle foliage, Coba is the site of the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan, climb to the top for out of this world views. Hear from your guide about the discovery of this site. Admire the boundaries between nature and man-made structures and the jungle bonds with the ruins.

The pick up was exactly on time. The whole process of checking in and waiting for our bus was a little long. At first we were a small group of around 17 people which was good. Our tour guide was amazing. So passionate and knowledgeable about the Mayas. All in all it was quite organized and smooth. But the tour was not 9 hours as stated in the description, but 13 hours. All in all very good value for money.

From the start to finish this trip was amazing. We travelled with our Daughter's age 11 & 17. The trip was exceptional value for money and it included lunch. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and everything ran on time considering we had 3 places to visit. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone.

We were picked up at our hotel in Playa del Carmen in a 10 to 12 person van and transported to a central collection point from which different tours left in large, comfortable tour buses. This was confusing to us as it had not been explained to us in advance. After the Tulum tour we returned to the central location, were driven 5 to 10 minutes in vans to La Gloria cenote, then lunch at the central location, followed by tour bus transport to Coba and finally back to Playa del Carmen. We had a short walk to our hotel as the large bus could not navigate the smaller streets. Altogether the tour spent less than 6 hours at the sites and 6 hours in transport, transfers, clothes changing, and the provided meal. The tour guides were excellent and provided much information about the Mayan culture and the sites themselves.
