1. Valencia: Horchata Bike Tour
Start your tour at the pre-arranged meeting point near the port of Valencia. Here you will meet your friendly and qualified staff who will help you choose a bike to best suit your needs and ability. Your tour will start at the meeting point where you will depart for the coastline along the Mediterranean sea, passing by many important landmarks along the way that your guide will point out to you. As you leave the city your tour will pass into Alboraya and follow the canal towards the Horchata fields. There is an abundance of flora and fauna to be seen by the river and the tour stops at various points of interest, including a typical Valencian farmhouse. Once in the fields, the various seasonal crops can be seen and the ride through the green belt is enjoyed with a refreshing breeze. Your ride continues into a typical country village where local ceramics colorfully adorn the buildings. Upon leaving the village and crossing back through the farmland, the tour stops for a drink of horchata in the seaside town of port Saplaya. Horchata is a famous drink made from tiger nut that is only grown in the northern farmlands of Valencia and nowhere else in Spain. The tour finishes with a ride back along the coast and back to the shop. The whole tour is largely flat and is about 22 kilometers and takes roughly 3-hours.
