Playa Mantas: Morning Guided Snorkeling Tour Near Jaco Beach

1. Playa Mantas: Morning Guided Snorkeling Tour Near Jaco Beach

Venture to the waters beside a tropical beach with white sand and clear waters, just beyond Jaco Beach. Swim and snorkel comfortably and enjoy a snack on land after exploring the aquatic fauna and flora. Start by meeting your guide at Playa Mantas, where you’ll get equipped with a brand-new full-face snorkeling mask and fins. Then, travel by boat to the snorkeling spot in a protected cove. Then, plunge into the water from the edge of the boat. Once you’re acquainted with the water, get your face wet and peek at the world below the water’s surface. Follow your guide through the waters as they point out the tropical rocks and fish below. Use the peas and bread from your guide to feed the fish. Finally, after snorkeling, get onto dry land, and enjoy a snack of coconut water, and sit alongside monkeys and sloths on the beach. Go for a dip, or wade in the waters with the safety of lifeguards nearby, or explore the tide pools.

Depending on the season, and the best birding options available, either head up near the Arenal Volcano by the Arenal Lake, or visit the El Silencio Nature Reserve or Finca Luna Nueva. The elusive tropical birds of Costa Rica are best spotted in the morning, so you'll rise early and begin your jungle adventure in the morning. Spot all kinds of wildlife, like toucans, parrots, oropendolas, colorful tanagers, or wild parakeets. Your guide will help you spot species such as Royal Flycatchers, White-fronted Nunbirds, and Cinnamon Woodpeckers, discussing each variety with you and marking them down in your guide book.

Celeste River and Tenorio Volcano Full-Day Hiking Tour

3. Celeste River and Tenorio Volcano Full-Day Hiking Tour

According to legend, after God had finished painting the sky, he washed his brushes in Costa Rica’s Rio Celeste, a magnificent river of light blue water that snakes its way through the Tenorio Volcano National Park. Experience this startling phenomenon of nature on a 10-hour hiking tour from towns and villages in the Arenal Volcano area. You will start your 5-mile hike through a lush carpet of rainforest, looking either side at the fauna and flora of the unique ecosystem, and up at the canopy of cloud forest. Eventually, you will arrive at Los Teñideros, where 2 streams of crystalline water come together to form a heavenly color that gives the river Celeste its name. Continue through the jungle to the volcano’s furnace vents, which expel gases at extremely high temperatures. On your descent, stop at the spectacular Rio Celeste waterfall, where the watercolor is one of a kind! Your final reward is an exquisite lunch at the end of your hike.

I recommend this activity to everyone. The guide is excellent and very dynamic. He knows the surroundings well, he will take you there to ensure you see many fish and marine life. We are lucky enough to see a turtle! I highly recommend this activity, you will get more than your money's worth. The other activities offered by other sites with a boat go to the same place and in my opinion are much too expensive. Be careful because the address given on the site is not exactly the right one, you will have to go to the beach. The guide is always available via Whats app to guide you. When we arrived, we had the chance to see two incredible beaches. Don't miss out on this wonderful activity if you are a marine life lover.

Awesome Morning of Snorkeling at a Incredible White Sand Beach about 30 min from Jaco .. I have been to Jaco 8x and never saw this beach before. Its the Nicest in the Area for Sure.. Great Snorkeling and lots of fish in really clear water..

Samantha was great! She was so enthusiastic and friendly and very patient with us. My friends and I had not had much sleep and petered out pretty quickly but she adjusted and did not make us feel guilty at all.

Really Fun afternoon and Cured the Hangover from the Night before .. Pefect afternoon and Great Customer Service from the Guides.. Much Better than Jaco Beach , I really enjoyed this tour day..

That was incredible, there are a lot of fish. We saw monkeys. The beach is very beautiful white sand.
