Private Day Trip to Sibiu from Bucharest

Private Day Trip to Sibiu from Bucharest

You will start in the morning from your hotel and head north-west toward Pitesti and soon you will enter the Olt River Valley. One of the most beautiful river valleys in Romania has in it's beginning an architectural and historical monument: the Cozia Monastery, built in 1388 by Mircea the Elder, the Grandfather of Vlad the Impaler.  Next stop will be Sibiu, European Cultural Capital in 2007 along with the city of Luxembourg, when Romania joined European Union. Sibiu was also voted as Europe's 8th most idyllic place to live by Forbes. With its Large Square, Small Square and Huet Square was the largest fortified city of Transylvania in medieval times. You will take a walking tour discovering why the city is so famous and admire beautiful landmarks like the Brukenthal Palace, Jesuit Church, Old City Hall tower, Evangelical Church and Liars Bridge - the first iron cast bridge in the country.  Because your guide wants to show you the real life in the area, and especially in the countryside, your next stop of the day will be made in the village of Sibiel where locals teamed up and restored most of the houses here. In the same place you can find the largest glass icons museum in Transylvania which you have the pleasure to visit and hear more about how this tradition started in the area. You will follow the Olt River Valley back to Bucharest.

Bucharest: Horseback In the Nature and Traditional Lunch

Bucharest: Horseback In the Nature and Traditional Lunch

We have a meeting scheduled at 7. We will arrive at 10 o'clock for the formalities and take over the equipment. At 10:30, there will be instructions, and at 11, we will mount and start for the mountain. The participants will be divided into three groups based on their skill level: beginners, intermediates, and advanced. We will place people in their desired groups, but we reserve the right to adjust their level if we feel it is necessary for their safety and the safety of the horses. Each group will be accompanied by at least one person, either an employee or a volunteer. We will arrive at the mountains at 1:30 p.m. and prepare lunch together. Usually, lunch consists of a stew made on the spot and some meat on the embers. We recommend that you bring enough water for yourself. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when you make your reservation. In most cases, a car will be available for the group to leave their luggage. The rest area in the mountains provides great photographic perspectives, so you can take some memorable pictures. After lunch, we will resume our journey towards the house and arrive between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Drop off at around 8 pm, depending on the traffic conditions.
