CUA was an excellent guide and Jose was the driver. He was on time, super friendly and made us feel like he just wanted us to have the best time ever. On time hotel pickup and direct to chichi itza with one bathroom stop. He guided us for about 1.5 hours and then gave us some free time to roam around for about 30 minutes. Then to the cenote which is really fun! We ate lunch, had a ton of vegetarian options which we were surprised about. Then we had about 2 hours to swim in the cenote, bring water shoes and a towel. Then we drive back. All on our schedule. CUA was amazing!
From start to finish this trip was exactly what I wanted/needed and more! You're transported the 2.5 hours from Cancun on a travel bus and the seats are crazy comfortable. They recline so I was able to get a decent nap in prior to making it to Chichen Itza. Tomas was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about Mayan history and culture. He mixed it up between English and Spanish the perfect amount so as to not lose anyone. Chichen was a gorgeous site. Getting there in the early morning was smart because by 10am, the sun was already beating down on us. We spent about two hours there. Next stop was the Cenote, Lunch and Tequila tasting. While there, I highly recommend spending the money to have her Mayan Shaman cleanse your energy followed by a refreshing dip in the Cenote. It was very grounding. Lunch was good and had a great selection. we finished with the Tequila tasting and that was wonderful. I'd write more but I'm out of characters. 10/10 recommend this tour!!!
