Enter directly to the archaeological site and spend the day exploring the Mayan ruins at your own pace. Discover how this large pre-Columbian city played an important role in the Mayan civilization from around 600 to 1200 AD, and remained a center of worship and pilgrimage until the arrival of the Spaniards. Even today, it is still considered sacred by the Mayan people of the Yucatan peninsula. Like many of the cities of ancient Mexico, the site was abandoned, and its ruins were hidden in the jungle. What people are saying about Piste, Mexico

The skip-the-line ticket was worth the extra price. We arrived right at opening time and the ticket and security line were both over 100 feet long. The ladies at the ticket pick up escorted us to the front of the security check and were went right in. It was nice to be there before the crowds and all of the vendors set up. Completely different vibe then at noon, when all of the walkways are lined with walls of t-shirts and blankets for sale.

The store you go to is just to the right of the final entrance but it’s slightly hidden. A man that was offering yours told us we couldn’t use it and would have to wait in line and buy proper tickets seeing as they don’t work. He lied lol so make sure you ask a few people if you can’t find the store. It was so easy and quick in the end but they do try to get you to re pay!

We arrived as soon as the gates opened, collected our tickets and got a local guide before entering the site. The guide was only 1200 Mexican pesos and was very knowledgeable!

Guide helped us find the area to secure the tickets. Helped us skip a short line but we came early in the day. Later in the day I'm sure it could save lots of time.

I only bought the skip-the-line tickets but they were there and on time
