Very worthwhile activity. We started with a fun trip out to sea to visit the Ballestas islands where we saw sea lions, penguins, pelicans and many more sea birds. We had a very knowledgeable guide who informed us of the great value of these islands to Peru. We then set off with our guide Olenka into the National Reserve. Olenka had an amazing knowledge and brought the desert to life for us. She took us to all the places we were allowed to visit and let us stay as long as we liked, all the time telling us interesting facts about each place.
The whole tour was excellent. The boat tour was good and we saw many types of birds, penguins, sea lions, and dolphins. the driving tour through the desert far exceeded expectations. Olenka was an amazing guide, she did a great job explaining things at every point along the way, adapted the tour to our interests, and was great at engaging our whole family. She had excellent English and a lot of knowledge about the area, both geography and history. I highly recommend this trip.
The tour was very good. Our guide knew which stops we were interested in and had good information on each. We let him know we were in somewhat of a time crunch to get back to Lima and he only hit up the highlights. He was ready to take photos of us at each site and was great with the kids. JD was great getting us set up and was great with my kids. We’d recommend this tour to anyone else wanting to see Paracas or the Ballestas Islands.
JD Travel did an amazing job coordinating this Nazca flight/transfers. Jose went above and beyond to make sure we could participate in this activity. It did not disappoint! The flight time was moved by the airline and Jose made every effort to help us with this change. I could not recommend this activity or JD Travel more. Jose is the best!
Our guide for the Paracas reserve was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
