Full description
Climb up the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa with this convenient timed entrance ticket. Skip the long lines at the ticket office and go directly to the tower at your reserved time slot for a stress-free visit to the Leaning Tower, located in Piazza del Duomo next to the 11th-century Cathedral and the Baptistery. Walk past the notoriously long queues and admire both the tower and the cathedral at your own pace. The Tower is the third oldest structure in Piazza del Duomo after the cathedral and the baptistery. The construction of the tower started in 1172 and took place in three stages over a span of 199 years. In 1987, the tower was declared part of the Piazza del Duomo UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the neighboring cathedral, baptistery, and cemetery.

Booking a fixed time in advance with tickets on your phone made it easy. However, if you want to combine a number of attractions, you get better options and prices if you buy tickets on site. However, run the risk at busy times that it is fully booked (wasn’t a problem in April).

Timed entry to climb the tower worked very well. You should note that the bag check location is in a separate building and you need to do that before getting in line for the climb. You need your ticket to check bags. Ticket for the climb works for anytime entry to the Cathedral too.

Please note that this is to go inside the Tower and the Cathedral; if you just want to admire the structures from the outside you don’t need the tickets. But if you wish to go in, we thought it was completely worth it and it was convenient to have the tickets in advance.
