Super convenient to take the ferry. This allowed us to plan our day ourselves and we weren't dependent on a travel agency. A taxi driver then took us to the sights and later to a beach. With four people, this was a lot cheaper. The ferry has a bar serving drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. Good coffee. There is air conditioning inside, but it was a bit difficult to find seats where we could all sit together.

The island was beautiful and we got to see quite a bit of it in the short time we were there. Thrle crossing is slow for the ferry line we were on (Saronic). It stopped in Aegina first which were not aware of. The ferry left Agistri on time, but was late leaving Aegina by over a half hour.

The whole trip from the airport to civitavechia was safe and comfortable. Our driver was courteous, polite and helpful. My suggestion is to include cold water bottles for the passengers during the trip especially on a hot day.

A pleasant short crossing of about an hour. The island of Aegina is a nice place to visit. We ate at the Dromaki restaurant. The food was very good.
